State Regulations Deny Couples the Right to Marry.

Couples in North Carolina told that state regulations will not allow them to marry. Whatever happened to deregulation and small government? People who claim they want government to be less intrusive demand regulations that prevent people the freedom to enter into a marriage contract with the same rights as other couples. Bizarre.

Marriage is a contract between two individuals which is unique in it's nature. So, why shouldn't gay couples be allowed to make this contract?
